Digital Piezo DOD Inkjet

The primary technologies in Inkjet printing are:

• Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) – method of operation is a continuous ink flow, ink not needed for the print job is collected and recirculated back to the reservoir
• Piezo Inkjet (PIJ) – Drop-on-Demand (DOD) – the printhead dispenses ink only when needed for the print layout by piezo technology, remaining ink stays in reservoir tank.
• Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) – ink is vaporized and forced out of the nozzle as a bubble form
