The thermoformed base web is made of a thick and rigid film , generally between 500 and 1000 µ such as APET, PETG, PS Klearmed, thus forming a solid tray. The lidding material provides a peel-open feature and is generally porous to allow sterilization such as all-over coated Tyvek Lids.
